About Me
Hi, I’m Alexis Detorres, a Product Manager and Management Information Systems student at the University of Houston.
My North Star is to build products that help people move from confusion to clarity. I’m drawn to the moments where users hesitate, overthink, or feel overwhelmed, and I enjoy designing the next step so it feels obvious. To me, great product management is about asking better questions, making thoughtful tradeoffs, and removing unnecessary complexity.
Outside of product, I’m a visual and creative person who loves photography, thrifting, ice skating, and experimenting with design. My background in sports and varsity dance taught me discipline, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
Whether I’m leading a product team, organizing a Girls Who Code event, or exploring a new idea, my goal is the same: leave things clearer, more useful, and more accessible than I found them.
